Let me make it perfectly clear that I am neither a doctor or any other type of health care professional. My only knowledge comes from the fact that I have a form of MD called Friedreich's Ataxia. I have spent some time looking for information and possible treatments which I will share with anyone here.

I'm afraid there was no way to make this short as there is lots of information here. Some may apply to many people and some only to me. I have to make another point here...I use homeopathic remedies, some people have a very difficult time accepting that and if you are one of the people are unwilling to consider them I would suggest that you not even read any further.
I asked the homeopath one day who is helping me what advice I could give people with one of the forms of MD? His answer was "Get to a good homeopath as soon as possible"

Mon May 2 2005. Went to bed at 4am, got up at 9:30am. Right arm and shoulder sore (overwork yesterday?). Electric sensation in neck and head when I raised up. Ears ringing loud. Very tired and lazy today. Ankles turning bad today. Legs jerking (mainly right side, seems to be coming from just behind toes).

Tues May 3 2005. Went to bed at 1am (was sore in my neck and head), got up at 7am, still had a terrible headache. Arms and shoulders still sore. Headache has eased up but I feel spacy (lightheaded).

Wed May 4 2005. Went to bed at 1am (was very tired), got up at 8:30am. Couldn't get to my feet right away (legs too weak). Bladder held all night (didn't even urinate before going to sleep). Sore all over (back, legs, arms and shoulders). Pain in left knee yesterday and today.

Thurs May 5 2005. Went to bed at 2:30am, got up at 10:30am. Left knee painful and gives out when I straighten leg out (hyper extending knees bad). Took a dose of calc phos, has eased up some but it does still happen. Ears ringing loud.

Fri May 6 2005. Went to bed at 2am, got up at 7:30am. Left knee still hurts causing a real problem when I walk. Ears ringing. Kept waking up through the night and still feel tired and legs and arms are stiff.

Sat May 7 2005. Went to bed at 1:30am (took Lathrus, 6 succussions 1 tsp when I went to bed), got up at 10am. Both shoulders sore. Right ankle turning bad. Have noticed the last couple of days that I have dark brown spots on tongue again. Left knee is a little better.

Sun May 8 2005. Went to bed at 2am, got up at 9:30am. Was sleepy all day yesterday. Dark brown spots still on tongue.Arms and shoulders still sore. Still have some pain in left knee. Left foot not swollen as bad.

Mon May 9 2005. Went to bed ae 4am, got up at 7am. Couldn't stay in bed (laying on either side hurt). Both shoulders. Left knee still hurt when I got up, would lock straight and wouldn't bend. Right hip hurts from laying on it. Yesterday right elbow had burning pain (realized I've had that before). Very stiff and sore, right elbow, burning pain worse for touch and use.

Tues May 10 2005. Went to bed at 2am, got up at 8:30am. Had to get up (to avoid a headache). Legs stiff. Feel worse if I take a bath at night and go to bed (nose plugs up, tend to get a headache, feel nore stiff in the morning, just feel worse overall). Ears ringing loud.

Wed May 11 2005. Went to bed at 2am, got up at 8:15am.Was up about 3 times to urinate last night. When I had to get up again at 8:15 I just stayed up. Very tired, slight headache, left knee still hurts, cramp in right calf, nose pluged up and ears ringing.

Thurs May 12 2005. Went to bed at 2am, got up at 8am. Took Lathyrus when I went to bed (6 succussions, 2 tsp's). Shoulders sore, left knee sore, ears ringing. Going out of town for a couple of days.

Sun May 15 2005.Was out of town since Thursday. Felt good but left knee had some pain and knees locked quite a bit. Got home today and am plugged up and having trouble breathing. Sleepy but having trouble catching breath so haven't been able to go to sleep. The past few days my tongue has felt like it was blistered.

Mon May 16 2005. Went to bed at 2am, got up at 10:30am. Very stiff and sore. Just not real happy being hetre (too closed in), no ambition. Laid on left side most of the night, tried to lay on right side but hip and leg kept going numb.

Tues May 17 2005. Went to bed at 2am, got up at 8am. Took Lathyrus when I went to bed (7 succussions, 1 tsp). Left knee still hurts some but maybe not as much, right knee has some pain. Tongue is clearing up a little (I'm starting to wonder if that is from a stomach problem?). Ears still ringing and it's internal because if I block my ears it is still just as loud.

Wed May 18 2005. Went to bed at 4am, got up at 8am. Had some coffee in the evening and was up to urinate every hour or so. Couldn't get comfortable to fall asleep. Laid on right side and right arm and shoulder hurt bad when I got up. Very unsteady when I got up.

Thurs May 19 2005. Went to bed at 12am, got up at 6:30am. Sore all over when I got up. Both knees hurting. Ears ringing.

Fri May 20 2005. Went to bed at 12:30am, got up at 8:30am. Took Lathyrus 30c at 12am (4 sucussions, 1 tsp). Had trouble sleeping, legs and ankles got sore on whichever side I was laying on. Woke up this morning with both legs cramping and sore, ears ringing loud.]

Sat May 21 2005. Went to bed at 2am, got up at 7am. Most symptoms seem to be on left side today, couldn't sleep on left side because left hand would cramp (stopped after turning over). Cramp in left lef woke me up and I had to get up (outside of leg just above ankle). Meck and low back stiff on left side. Groin itches on left side. Ears ringing pretty much both sides. Left shoulder sore.

Sun May 22 2005. Went to bed at 3am, got up at 9:30am. Left knee still sore. Ears don't seem to be ringing quite as loud. Very tired.

Mon May 23 2005. Went to bed at 3:30am, got up at 9:30am. Leg cramps when I stretched this morning. Left knee still hurts some when I straighten it out all the was. Ears ringing and have a lot of head congestion.

Wed May 24 2005. Went to bed at 4am, got up at 12pm. Had a headache on the side lain on. Legs feel weak, some pain in left knee, right ankle turns. Ears ringing. Headache never went away, laid on the couch trying to go to sleep most of the day. Finally managed to take a nap about 9:30pm, woke up at 11:30pm, head finally felt a little better.

Thurs May 25 2005. Didn't sleep all night after taking a nap so late. Ears are still ringing and right ankle turns. Left knee hasn't hurt as bad but I haven't been walking around much so far. Legs are very stiff. Developed a headache late in the day (neck and back of head).

I moved in June and had stopped taking any remedies for some time during all the craziness.

Aug 31 2005. Started my remedy again this month and seems I have needed to repeat it every 2 to 3 days. So far nothing major to report.
